Stewart Sanderson and Kenny Walker became business partners after leaving another remapping and diesel tuning company together, both feeling somewhat disillusioned with the industry in general and disappointed with the poor quality of workmanship and products that the diesel tuning and remapping industry as a whole seemed to be happy to put up with. They both felt sure they could improve upon it greatly and those thoughts ultimately led to the creation of Motorsport Developments back in April 2000.
From day one the company was well known for its ability to actually map Original Equipment (O.E) Ecu's live with an emulator and they were both regularly seen at places such as Bruntingthorpe and Elvington runways tuning very high powered vehicles for their owners & creators. For a few years a large proportion of profit was constantly reinvested into the company to further develop the skills and equipment needed to cater for more and more O.E Ecu's and they now have one of the widest and most comprehensive collections of diesel tuning and remapping tools and software systems in the industry today allowing them to remap pretty much any ecu that is remappable. If it can be done, they can do it. The ECU remapping side of the company eventually grew to the point a new brand name arose and that side of things began to take precedence due to more and more trade customers around the UK & Europe wanting them to remap their customers ECU's for them.
Evolution Chips as a brand name was born in 2001 and has grown from strength to strength as time has gone by.
